The only problem that unit only accept 1 or 6. At least US unit.
I contacted tech guys from Ross Tech and they suggest to try VAS instead of VAG. They also said:

I have never done this exact procedure myself, but if you try to put in
0309231 and the controller does not accept it, then that is not a plausible soft coding for that controller.

It's pretty wierd that only TEMIC coding is unaccessible :? I will try to play more with it today.

okay so i hooked up BT version B didn't have the phone with me and things seems to be almost okay thing is i get the following screens when i press the TEL button is this right? when i connect phone will this go away and be replaced by menu as i can only scroll and do nothing else?

Well I never saw such "expanded" version of HELP file and this causes me a lot of curiosity.
Could you be more specific on which RNS-E you have (model and letter, HW and SW) and which coding and then quote also the same for the "B" BT module ??? I possible obviously...

DO I need a HEX-COM vag cable instead of my KEY-COM version to communicate with the tele module? I get a too many communications com error if i try to access 77. This is using new beta software from ross-tech.

This is pretty normal for me, something never happened to others. Still obscure. You could try to enable "Skip CAN Init" on options menu and then keep on trying...

the RNSe so far is coded with a 6 I tried to recode to 7 but it stayed 6 should i try to recode to 2 i only had a few minutes so i didn't try it.

BTW: have you tried some of those commands appearing on the screen, or did you just heard them ?

On coding of "B" modules, I think craigyb and AudiA4B6US are more expert...

i have euro 4b0 unit updated to US i belive HW is 020 or 040 firmware shows as X--- i have to check tonight and i'll post exact specs...have exact same BT module as Proxus if you look at his pics (got from clair parts)

so far could not hear them they just appear when i press TEL button (again i did not have phone with me or near car as at a friend's house)

i will try to do more test today on them...thing is i did not think my version RNSe supported the voice commands - i used Kufatecx harness and KNOW i only have mic wires connected to RNSe only "once" and i thought if used speech recognition you had to have mic going in and then out of RNSe so connected 'twice'

Its a factory scanning tool / diagnostic system. Every dealer should have it.

 

i have a question...how did you code your TEL module?
I mean soft coding values:

I did coding for Telematics but instead "telephone is not installed" I had " please use your cell phone". No other setup screens or controll over this.

I have access to US unit with s/w 0040 but still no access to coding enything else besides 1 or 6. EU unit with 0360 worked fine.

Unit is pairing and play sound via speakers but no screen controls.

to pair your phone you need to enable bluetooth and look for devices.
1) it will recognize Audi module automatically
2) you need to enter pass key to make pairing automatic nfor next time

so i recoded it but no change...the more i look at menu it seems if i could say cancel it would "Return to Ready" however it is not picking up my voice.

So my questions - TIA:

is would software play any part in this? I have 4bo unit with hardware version 44 and software is US update of euro so shows xxx. ANy idea when new US dvd will be released?

would it make sense to connect mic through RNS-e or does mic input go directly to BT module? i am going to try and coonect directly to mic and see if that helps at all but not getting errors so i assume it is conected okay.

so on mic i have connected direct to BT right now but am going to try new mic tonight (have extra one) and see what happens. DO you think bad mic might cause issue?

on running mic through RNSe that is just idea i had not sure if even possible yet with my unit.

btw coded unit succesfully i believe 0010777 but no luck and even changed things aroudn a bit still no luck
