Hi there, now I've activated the hidden menu i.e. "Setup + Car" (thanks to Scott for helping me out) and also activated Oil level but it's always grayed-out. Can't select that ever since. Does any one know what am I missing? The battery level works fine though. Thanks in advance. Cheers!!!

What exactly do you mean by "The shaft of the engine oil"? Thanks

I have 2008 AUDI A6 3.2 Quattro. I also activated 'Oil Level' from hidden menu, however it does not show oil level. Doesn't my engine support this function? If it doesn't is there any way to enable it?

Thank you for your answer in advance.

So far no-one is known who got it working. Fact is - for all of us - that option even if activated never shows up any oil level ;)

So are we right in saying that the traditional dipstick (cant help sounding like Rosco P. Coltrane) is still in place, and the oil sensor fitted to the sump is a modified one that gives the information within the MMI?

Looked on Elsa, and cannot find any reference to it?

I have a 4.2 Q7 and mine is also grayed out.

However, last week I got the low level oil message on the screen. Indeed the engine consumed 2 liters in 10000kms. I am guessing the engine felt lower oil pressure, hence the warning. It doesn't have the oil level sensor installed.

So guys, you say that changing the oil stick will unlock the Oil level "gray" menu? If so, a part number would be helpful.... thanks

I can confirm that on my car i have the old sensor, 06E ...

My question is, if i replace the sensor with the 03C... will it show the oil level in MMI? The sensor is around 70 Euro, so i don't want to waste the money :)

My car - '04 A8L 4.2 Q

Thanks
