If you own a Q7 the install will be for free unless you have 4220 the recall action 91D5 just changed from the ...AA cd to the 8T0 cd every Q7 including US is recalled for this

I have just phoned my dealer and they have told me they won't sell me the disc - they have to install it! Does anyone know a dealer/supplier that will sell it?

Yes that Menu is always present since CHAN.08 in adaptation of CONTROLLER 07 is set to 1.

The modules updated:
MMI part+ TV part + BTA part +AMI complete
I have discovered later that update "Part of" appears when only the application or only the bootloader are affected by the upgrade and update "YES" means that all the 2 components: Application+Bootloader are updated:

TV SW.Version and index disappeared but the module perfectly works



BTA from 900 to vers. 960


AMI from 700 to 840



What has changed after the Update:
The Version of the MMI now is not on menu CAR because it has been placed under menu SETUP/SETTINGS



I really don't see any difference in TV and AMI at this moment but i had no time to do a serious test so I will report about this.
Anyway I have immediatly seen a new function of BTA:
Now when a call is placed in FIS there is the option "HOLD"

if I'm in a call, and a second call comes in, now (42.2.0) I can only refuse or replace. so I can NOT hold the first call "stand by" while answering the 2nd incoming call maybe that's possible with 51.5.0 :roll: hope so!!!

Yes this new option is only for SAP-BTA modules AFAIK the standard BT remains at 950 version also in 5150 Upgrade.

What I have noticed is that the call waiting actually works now, you no longer lose both parties when answering a call waiting.

I updated my car to 5150

As far as I noticed it updated only Bose sound and MMI aplication

I didn't get batery meter back, which I lost with previous upgrades and I read that it should come back

No, the 5150 MMI update will not restore the battery meter, you will need access to vag-com to restore the battery meter.

Oil Meter Appeared after 5150 Update

So - busy day today.

Both my VAG-COM lead turned up and my 5150 update disc.

I used vag-com to set-up my telephone voice dialling - works a treat, and I also changed the MMI start-up screen to RS6.

BUT - after doing the 5150 update, everything is still there as before, but I now have Oil Level Meter in the CAR Menu.

Does anyone know if this will actually work, as at the moment it is greyed out and can't be selected. Do I need to do anything else to access this or can I remove it from the menu via vag-com.

Just to say as well - I'm now a vag-com convert, great tool, wish I'd got it sooner.

Cannot update BTA with v5150

I have just had the BTA SAP installed today in my A8. I am trying to upgrade the BTA software to the latest version but have had not luck... Can anybody help? (I am using my 5150 CD that I had before)...

The first image below shows that I cannot select the BTA for upgrade...

The next image shows the current BTA details

The next shows the main version window... what I don't understand here is the FC SW and FC PS sections, they are different from the pictures that a4ss4abt posted before in this thread
