I lost the 2nd key from my Q7.

Is there a way to completely delete it from the system just in case it falls to the wrong hands?

I do have vag-com. I don't know where to start looking....

Try posting in one of the forums where the VAG-COM guys are active, e.g. AudiWorld, rs246,...

I would recommend taking the car to the dealer, and let them sort it out. From what I remember it's not a simple vag-com process to remove and add keys.

You can't do that with VAG-COM...
Explain to your Dealer, that you just want to DELETE the key(for now), they need a month to REPLACE it (to order - this is the VIN Spare Part)

2nd that

You can not delete keys from VAG. It would be too simple and dangerous since you could as easily add keys.

New keys need to have pre-programmed radio codes to match your VIN number and old keys are removed from the system. Friendly dealer should do it within a day or so, if not immediately.

Hello, try contacting someone on this site: Audi Portal:. He seems to have found a way to get in to your car remotely (remote connect to your laptop which is plugged in to your car using a VAG cable) and access information what is password protected by Audi. He does' this to modify the VIM feature on the Q5/7 to allow a DVD to continue to play over 15km/h. He might be able to help you out ... for a price of course.

Good luck and park in your garage for now ;)
