I just got new cables with CD changer & phone support.
I can see XM in my band list and I hear last station I played before I removed my Symphony radio.

There is one problem. For some reason unit doesn't detect my XM and switching screen to let me know that my car is prewired but I need to install & activate my receiver

In the same time my station is still playing fine. I suspect that is either VAG settings (if XM is controlled via CAN-BUS) or some problems with wires

damn I'm lost #-o

I have US unit, but I will test it on EU unit as soon as they will arrive.
AudiA4B6US is testing on "C" Euro unit as well.

US unit seems to work fine but I have some trouble with detecting XM box by unit (I got sound from XM station tho).

Even if EU units will not have SAT radio support I think you still be able to connect it via Blitzsafe Audi/XM interface (just like external CD changer)

Hi

I just install RNS-E unit in my 04 S4. I can here the last station that was playing on my old unit.

The satellite function has a message stating:

"This vehicle is equiped for a simplifed installation of satellite radio-using your exiting radio. To order satellite radio service, please contact your Audi dealer."

What do that message mean? Do I have to take the Audi to the dealer?

I can hear the last XM station that was playing on the my radio old unit.
But the message above keeps coming back & the unit will not all me to change the XM station.

Please Help

Thanks,
Blake

This will help you get rid of message saying "This vehicle is equiped for a simplifed installation of satellite radio-using your exiting radio. To order satellite radio service, please contact your Audi dealer."

I didn't need to recode anything to get mine to work.

Hey Guys,
I'm going to jump into this post a see if I can get this question answered. A while back I purchased a Sirius cable from TED B for my RNS-E. Unfortunately he is currently not available so I hope that you all can answer this:

Where do the 3 audio wires (R+/L+/Neg ) go into the RNS-E? Also there is the CAN BUS hi/low wires.
Just a guess, but do they go into the RNS-E / B connector /Pins 2-8-9?

SAT audio connects to CD Audio in on the head unit, CAN hi/low connects to the CAN hi/low wires on the head unit as well.
