You mean, when colder than -30C? (-22F) The "aux heater"?? That term in my knowledge refers to an electrical resistance heater that is part of the HVAC system, not part of the engine. (My own 2014 A5 was subject to a recall years ago because the aux heater was prone to fires). If all that is correct for what you're asking, not using the aux heater would be a slight improvement to the total electrical load as you try to start the car in very cold weather - but a very small one if any. And your car's "brains" may be smart enough that the aux heater is automatically selected off during the immediate moment of cold starts, in which case there would be zero benefit to manually selecting it off.
