The unit will fit if you have the Symphony II radio currently installed. If you only have the Concert II or no radio at all, installation will be more difficult.

Yes, 8P0 035 192 is the first generation A4 8P unit. If you get the newest Euro DVD you can update to the newest Euro software and are ready to go.
I have an A3 though!! it is definatley an A3 unit judging by the shape, has he got the part number wrong?
