Will This REALLY Fit in a 2000 A4 Like He Says?

This eBay seller claims that the unit he is selling is a 2005.5 model that will fit in a 2000-2005 A4.

I'm really skeptical that it will fit in a 2000 B5 A4 like I have.

not only is the a6 unit a better fit, but the a4 unit wont work because it can only do speed signal over the can-bus where as the a6 unit has a separate gala/v signal input wire
