I'm looking at their website and see they have basically two versions, one being $100.00 more then the other.

Which will I need when programing the RNS-E?
VAG-COM License with HEX-USB+CAN Interface or VAG-COM License with KEY-USB Interface?

Depends on your car.

Since yours is 2002MY you don't need the CAN version - that's for e.g. B7 A4.

i would suggest contacting ross-tech.. they are very helpful and will know exactly what you need..

IMO -- i think VAG-COM is an invaluable tool..
