Hi guys. At the moment I have the RNS-E and a seperate carkit (with microphone and seperate phone speaker. The RNS-E does mute when a call is coming in).

I want to buy a new phone, a Nokia, and I want to get it working with the RNS-E BT function. I already have the BT M-module in house.

Questions:

-can I use my existing microphone to work with the BT kit?
-can I keep my existing cradle? (I want to keep it for charging the phone)
-which Nokia do you recommend? I know the existance of the compatibillity list:

Nokia 6021
Nokia 6111
Nokia 6230
Nokia 6230i
Nokia 6280 (No Phonebook unless yopu use sim, no dialled calls)
Nokia 6310i
Nokia 6800
Nokia 6822
Nokia 8800
Nokia 8801

but..can I use the newest Nokia phones?

I'm not planning to do the retrofit myself (it's a leased car), but I want to know whether my Audi dealer should get this working. I'm planning to give him the following:

-BT cable harness, prepared for my car
-the BT module with BT antenna
-a microphone (eventually)

ok guys, like to hear from you!

The only Nokia I had experience with, is 8800. This is the best paired phone with BT module I ever saw. Not only all features are compatible but your ring tone is transfered also and you can hear it via speakers.

Phone itself is kind of expensive and heavy but it is nice accessory ;)

I should be able to use existing mic but I would go with OEM look and locate your mic in the place designed by Audi (next to lights in the roof)

You can use existing cradle for charging. You shouldn't have any problems with it.

Ive had all of the above, and my current phone is the 6280, which works fine and i get dialed calls...

Suppose it depends on what other functions you want the phone to have and how big or small a phone you want.

Don't buy a symbian based nokia "N" series if you want full functionality.
