I did some research and found out that those maps are available from dealer only. NavTeq is just a manufacturer but they don't sell those maps.
Distribution is made from AoA to dealerships. Approx cost at the dealership is about $375

I have my RNS-E and cables on their way for my 2001 A6, and I am starting to look into which DVD I need.

Can someone confirm the part number I need to ask the dealer for, or do I just ask for the DVD for a 2005 allroad or 2005 A4 ?

The first post here lists:
Navigation System Plus North America
W531247003 Version 1A
Model # M0023-400

Is this exactly what I need ?

Sorry to be anal, but I don't want to spend all this money on a DVD and find out, that I bought the wrong one.

You could get those Maps from NavTeq directly now for $199 + tax + shipping. They are shipped from San Jose, CA.

All those numbers you have are correct. ;)

I just ordered the DVD from NAVTEQ (thanks for the pointer, PROXUS). I told them it was for a 2005 Allroad, and they did not want the actual part number. I will get the DVD on Friday, but wanted to (once again, sorry) make sure that the Allroad DVD is correct, since I did not get to check the actual numbers.

Should be correct, the US Allroad never had anything else but the RNS-E...
