WHAT UNIT DO I NEED?

First, you should not use all caps, unless you are shouting really loud.

The 8E0 035 192 E/F/J units will work in your B7, Bose is no problem, DIS will work just fine, XM might be one. For XM you will need to get to the receiver and look at the part number. If the part number ends in E you are fine, if it's an A unit you will need a new one. If you have the
trip computer with color display you are fine, if you just have the basic red center display you will be able to see the radio/mp3 but not the navi info.

Bose doesn't affect the size of the head unit - Bose changes the amplifier and speakers. The standard system has an amplifier for the rear speakers only, the Bose system uses an amplifier for all speakers.

What head unit do you currently have - Chorus, Symphony, WHY?
