It tells your RNS how fas you're going. You will probably notice your maps not moving anymore since it is disconnected.

I just used it and it seems to be fine??? I'll put the head unit out over the weekend and take a look.

If you happened to change the VAG coding of the unit from being an A6 unit to an A4 unit, that would come up since the A4 (and possibly other settings) use speed over CAN. Our B5's don't have the speed over CAN, so when it is coded that way that code appears.

I still haven't figured out this code? I don't have an A4 rather an S4, and I have checked the coding for the navigation with the VAG and it is coded correctly.

Am I correct that I don't need this wire connected for the RNS-E to function correctly? I have B5 S4 with the EU RNE-E, converted to us the US Maps.

For any B5 the correct installation involves connecting the V-signal GALA wire and coding the RNS-E as A6 installation.
