it's a bull*** ....this is common eBay seller trick to fool unaware buyers.
You can't upgrade part number (hardware)....the only upgraded thing is a firmware. Of course it working same way but this got nothing to do with F unit.

It's like saying that "I loaded PC emulator in MAC and now it is PC"

yeah, that's where I saw the sale was ebay. So even though it so and so part number, is it the correct RNS-E for a B6 S4?

Either part number is correct so why would they say its converted when all of the B6 A4/S4 RNS-E are the same?

So PROXUS, you have a B6. Will all of these RNS-E's work in my car?

8E0 035 192 C Audi A4 Europe, B6/B7

8E0 035 192 E Audi A4 North America (B7, MY 2005.5)
8E0 035 192 F Audi A4 North America (B7, MY 2006)(*)
8E0 035 192 H Audi A4 Europe (B7, MY 2006, with SDS)
8E0 035 192 J Audi A4 North America (B7, MY 2006, with SDS)
8H0 035 192 Audi A4 Cabrio Europe Basic, B6

They would say thet to make it more attractive to buyers.
A lot of people are not aware that EU units are work great with US maps, and don't want to buy them. This trick suppose to full buyer and pump price of the unit higher.

All of those part numbers will work for your car (and fit phisically) but some of them differ with features (very small differencies usually)
