According to Rueters, VW is working with Google and Nvidia to incorporate 3d satellite imagery into a future version of a VW navigation system.

Nice find and nice idea. But I would rather want a working TMC solution in the US than fancy 3d pictures on my navi screen. Now, if the 3d pictures would be real-time so that I can see where not to go because it's jammed, that would be cool.

From what I see on that picture, their GUI is horrible comparing to RNS-E. Just look at those buttons. It looks like bad Microsoft edition :lol:

I would 2nd Dirk's opinion about TMC. This would be very helpfull upgrade to our Navs.

This would be a very cool. Many people would do better off being able to see where they are relative to things around them.

For example if you were looking for an address. It might be helpfull to see that it is on the backside of a building or around a corner on the left, etc.
