Voice commands no, OEM BT yes
I don't want to interfere with craigyb statement, but...mldrs said:I am looking to upgrade a b5 s4. I have read I should use a 4B0 035 192 P unit. Will this unit have voice command or able to use the oem blue tooth module?
Thanks,

I think interface (harnesses) are all the same for RNS-E, beside CAN-BUS and GALA connections (which I suppose work on different pins, anyone can confirm this ?)mldrs said:I think the P model fits best with some modification into the old style B5 S4. I am not sure how well the H model would fit or if this would create some other technical interface problems.
Faceplates change is something which has already been discussed within this forum, but I think few persons were able to get just faceplates (if not getting them from spare units).I would be interested to know if swapping face plates is a solution to using the H model? If so why not use the latest F model with a p style faceplate?
Has anyone been able to purchase the faceplate only?
This is something I was not aware of, but it's perfectly undestandable.craigyb said:The phone module requires a cluster with CAN to work.
Again, thank you for fitting information. The 8E0 rev H supports voice commands and will not fit very well into the B5, it's a physical thing
Change the 8E0 rev H to a 4B0 faceplate and you will have a better fit, but then you need a canbus compatible MFSW to initiate voice commands on the RNS-E.
The phone module will support voice commands only with a cradle if no MFSW is available.
