Subject: [AudiNav] Re: PROXUS - did you get the US nav DVD working with your P nav+ unit?

The RNS-E has been successfully installed in several Audi A3, A4, A6
and even A8 back to cars built in 2000. While it's easier to do it
in a A4 B6 or A6/Allroad C5, people have installed it in all kinds
of Audis.

For A3 (8P), A4 (B6) and A6/Allroad (C5), there are RNS-E units with
the right faceplate and adapter harness for plug and play. For the
A4 B5, the 4B0 035 192P/R seems to fit best, both the faceplate and
the electrical connection. Nevertheless, certain skills and tools
are required for any car because Audi doesn't make it easy to
upgrade with OEM parts.

The only unanswered question is: Will the US Navigation DVD work in
a European unit. And the answer to this question is only days away,
believe me.
