will the B version work, there seem to be more readily available??

Nope, although they are identical in looks and connectors, the B is Bosch CAN for the older RNS-D and the C is infotainment CAN compatible with the RNS-E.

But I can sell you my old B tuner if you'd like to try it.

how much am i looking at for the c model? there is a limit to what i will pay not to miss eastenders... PS im am in the UK
