just installed the DVD ME3 . It has pretty good reception when parked, but as soon as i start driving the reception really sucks. Do those of you with an amplified antenna notice any difference when driving?

AFAIK, no one has reported any info on using an amplified antenna..

yup, that's the antenna that I purchased. I'll keep you all posted when I can hook it up to my Blau ME3 with pix etc.

TV reception with only 1 antenna, even an amplified one, while moving is likely to be poor because of the effect of relections from buildings, ground, other cars, etc.

That's why the OE fit uses 4 antennas. And even that suffers from fading and dropouts when moving.

When we all get forced to switch to digital TV, TV in a moving car will become almost impossible.

And to think thats wasted because you can't watch TV while moving in an OEM setup.

I've found as long as i stay close to the City, reception is bearable.

and I'm still very impressed at reception while parked with the standard single antenna.

Oh yeah, and would it be worth investigating tapping into the FM Radio system?
