I have been using it for months (fed from a dietz) and got in the car the other day and pressed the cd/tv button and it only gave me cd & mp3 options.

Any ideas on where my TV option disppeared to? And/Or how to revive it?

thanks
david

if TV is no longer listed in your source list, then most likely you either lost
- CAN connection between your Dietz and RNS-E..
- or power to the Dietz..

check your wiring, maybe something wiggled loose over the past few months..

should I try a reboot of the RNS-E or would that not be it?

Could also be that the Dietz crashed and needs a reset. If you have connected the Dietz to permanent 12V+ then unplugging it or disconnecting the fuse/battery should work.

I rebooted the dietz but still no luck -- any other ideas?

Has anyone heard of a dietz going bad

Same Problem

I am having the exact same problem with mine as well. I've had a Dietz 1417 in my B7 A4 car for almost a year and the TV disappeared. I swear I've check the wiring (especially CAN) 10+ times and still no luck. I don't really know what to do about it either.

Anyone with ideas, please let us know!

Did you check coding of your NAV?

If wiring and coding is correct then it will be problem with Dietz box itself.
