I am trying to modify US DVD to work in EU RNS-E.

I have modified the files and trying to burn a good DVD. I am using Nero, Pioneer 109 burner, and Memorex DVD+R DL media.

I am not having much luck getting it recognized by the NAV.

If anybody in the San Francisco Bay area has done this successfully, and is willing to help me, please PM me.

Try burning a SL DVD before you waste the $$ on a DL. I'm not sure what everyone else is doing but I changed the bitsetting on my dvd drive to burn it as a dvd-rom instead of a dvd +r. Try rpc1.org or do a search for bitsetting for your drive.

What burning software did you use ?

I used Ultra ISO to compile all of the files to an ISO image then alcohol 120 to burn the image to a DVD. Now with all of that being said I am having an issue with my RNS not displaying the map or being able to route anything. Not sure if it is DVD related or not :shock:

Oh you have to burn as an ISO DVD not UDF, I think someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Another forum member also suggested, that I use UltraISO, so I aquired it yesterday. And I had success

I generated an ISO file using ISO and UDF format. I then burned the ISO with Nero, and it works. I had to load it twice before it was correctly recognized, but now it works every time.

I have no issues with routing or displaying the map at this time.
