my audi S8 (UK) year 2000 has just started showing the following fault whan i start the unit up. "TMC-RDS Tuner faulty or cannot be found ??? " I assume that the TMC unit is either faulty or a wire has come loose. As i don't use this function my favoured solution is to programme it out using VAG-COM this i am hoping will stop the fault report coming on screen every time i turn the Nav plus on. Does anyone know if this can be done? failing that what kind of job is it to change the TMC unit? is it an expensive part?

yes, simply vag it to 0 for no TMC
