Not really Navigation related but nevertheless a nice retrofit option. I learned recently that it seems to be possible to retrofit the TPMS in a B6, at least if the color DIS is installed. There is an interesting discussion over on AudiWorld which seems to indicate that it is possible.

Can the tire pressure monitoring system be retrofitted?

Maybe someone with the basic DIS can try this too and see what happens...

If someone can confirm the part numbers and quantities for a 2004 B6 I'll act as a "guinea pig".

From the list on AudiWorld

Controller: 4D0 907 273C
Sensor: 4D0 907 275 4x
Antenna: 4D0 907 277 4x
Valve: 4D0 601 361
Harness: 4B9 972 220D
Switch: 8E0 919 721

it's not clear to me what would be needed - and would I need to order equivalent 8E0 versions of the 4D0 parts?

ANyone with ETKA 6 who can lookup the numbers?

I'll see how helpful my (so far) friendly local Audi parts manager will be at sorting out what I'll need. Keep you posted ...

TPMS goes on a different section of the CAN bus to the RNS-E - so this project is going nowhere.
