How did everyone install the speed pulse wire? did you tap into the ABS wire? did it work? thanks

hehe. I have the eclipse NAV2454 in there right now. I have a 2003 a4 1.8t. I keep hearing that there is a VSS wire, then i hear there isnt. I have the soundgate CAN02BUS but I dont know how to hook it up. thanks

A little off topic but you can find CAN high (pin 7) and low (pin 12) in the 20 pin connector for your Symphony II radio. See the diagramm for connector 1 at http://www.nav-plus.com/instructions/a4b6.html.

If you have the A4 version of the RNS-E (8E0 xxx xxx x) that gets it's speed signal from the CAN bus.
It also gets the reverse light, illumination and ignition signals via the CAN.
I did the install in my 2004 B6 S4 last week using a plug & play harness from Ralf and antenna adapters from Kufatec - it replaced a Symphony 2. Took about an hour to do the swap, and a further hour to get the RNS-E and instrument coding right using VAG COM.
