If you want to use navigation you would need to be in Europe if you are running sw 0360. The patched US DVD doesn't work with 0330 or newer. The Euro 2005_2 DVD contains 0360, Euro 2005_1 contains 0330.

Is it only possible to upgrade s/w or could I buy 0360 and then downgrade my s/w and install 0100 such that I run now?

I doubt that you could downgrade your SW that easy.
To do that you would need to flash chip to clear software completly (or use any other method if available) and then load new software. To much work and not everyone can do it.

I this the only possibility is to wait for new softweare and check then.

The 8E0 035 192 D and probably the 8P0 035 192 C as well come with 0330 or 0360. Nobody has figured out a way yet to downgrade the software on such a device.

A fix to downgrade? Not that I know of.

Not downgrade but rather to operate the unit with the US map.

Nope, the patch doesn't work with 0330 or 0360 (Haggie tried this) and so far nobody wiht a "D" unit has tried to create a new patch.

PowerTony apparently has this DVD though?

Also I have a guy who knows how to alter the chip within the unit and has it working. Not sure if anyone is interested in this or not.
