yes but only if you have any multimedia adapter with your RNS-E (Dietz 1417 or TV box).
No option for less than $100, you will need the Dietz 1417 or similar to make the RNS-E show a video signal.

Arrgg, one second late. I usually play this game with fritzner only ;-)
and how much is this adapter?
everywhere between $150-300 on eBay, or look around this forum for Dietz 1417
didnt find it on ebay....saw some in searched threads but no pricing... how hard would be to set this up...any splicing required..or is this all plug and play...just plug in the camera into the adapter..and the adapter into the navi?

very true, hahaha.. we have done it a few times.. (though you usually beat me too it)..

has anyone experimented with the "reverse pin" on gthe RNS-E??.. on my friends Accura, when he puts it in reverse his Nav automatically shows a rear view camera.. it would be cool if we hook up the reverse pin, the RNS-E would automatically go into "TV" mode and disregard speed signal..

but more likely the "reverse pin" is for reverse speed signal for the A6 (not really necessary)..

Not yet, but it's on my "to do"...

If RNS-E can go into TV mode if and when a video source is applied at the Dietz interface input, then I think we solved all of our problems...

We get power from the reverse lights at the back of the car and voila'...

I agree... I think that pin will not help us in any way, but it's worth a little bit of testing...

I'll let you know.

Ciao

It won't work unless you buy a Dietz 1280 Adapter to avoid a black screen. As far as I know the display will turn black once the car is moving..
