Hello

I have a 2008 Q7 with the 2G MMI. It came with the original 2008 Audi Europe SatNav DVD.

I noticed that I couldn't find the town 'Tooting', (London) and thought it was just the way the Nav system worked. However, the other day I tried to find Bluewater shopping centre. I selected Special destination -> Nationwide and went to select 'Shopping Centres' from the POI list, but it wasnt there. Not only that, there are only a handful (maybe 8-10) of POIs in the Nationwide selection!

I have tried updating my Nav to a 2010 release, and then a 2012 version (i.e burned the disks myself from files) The Nav system stated it was updating the software, and after finishing it Still has the same issues.

I have asked Audi, and they think that a normal Nav update should update the software as well. I even got Audi to find another Q7 around the same age, and we confirmed that it can find the town 'Tooting' (in London) and can also display ANY POIs nationwide, not just Wine merchants, Audi dealerships and a few others, as mine does.

I have got access to the hidden menus, as well as the normal version information - and my Firmware software says I am on 5140.

Audi think the Firmware may not solve the issue - but in case it does they want 1 hours labour - which is £120+vat (the 2012 Sat nav DVD by the way is £200).

The following pics shows the current info. I'll try to get a photo of the limited list of POI's

Anyone with any suggestions please?

Thanks

Pictures show 5140 MMI sw. and latest maps. Sw. on maps DVD is not MMI sw. You have latest maps, that's enough to find the same things as another Q7, even latest MMI sw. is 5570.
Try to choose what POI you want to see, it's in Nav Setup.

Hi thanks for the reply

I can't select the POI I want, as the list is limited to about 8 categories when I select "Select special Destination->Find Nationwide" (something like Audi, Borders, Motorway intersections, Wine Merchants -and that is all I get)

However, when I go to the Nav Setup (press Nav, followed by Setup) , and I go to the list of POI's I want to display on the map, I get a selection of about 30 Categories.
