Routing Problems

I have a euro version RNS-E. One of my main gripes with it was most city streets in my town were not displayed. The names were there, the nav would use them for routing, there was just no line.

Then i flashed my unit to the US firmware. Lo and behold the streets now had lines! However now the unit will not use them to route. 95% of the streets in my town display IDP:Streetname. The line is there, the streetname is there, it will put the destination flag up, but it will not make any routes.

I know that you cant roll back the firmware. Am i completely boned now or what?

Hopefully either the next US map update will make those streets available for route guidance or allow us to figure out a way to roll back the software. Either way, for now there is no solution for your situation.
i recently took a trip to the mountains and had the same problem on my real US unit.. several of the roads were listed "IDP:streetname"..

display IDP:Streetname. The line is there, the streetname is there, it will put the destination flag up, but it will not make any routes
since i am having the same issue on my real US unit as you are on your EU->US unit, and these streets were missing on the EU unit with patched US DVD, it must be something with the classification of the road??..

any idea what IDP means??..

The new map dvd came out on 9/01/05. Has anyone tried it with the a hacked EU Unit?
Did anybody get that DVD? Part number? Source? Picture?

AFAIK its available directly from navteq. I talked to them mid August and was told that the new US dvd was coming out on September 1st.

I will believe this when I saw the first DVD. So far I haven't heard a beep that someone actually got the new DVD...
All i know is what navteq told me. I havent checked back since 9/01. The matter is easily resolved tho, call their 800 number and ask.
