I just made few tests with my 1 Gb SD card and RNS-E unit.
Quality of the sound is amazing

I didn't create any playlists just copy paste some of my MP3s.
Various bitrates from 128 to 190 play with no problems.

Some of my MP3s (those I recorded from online radio) didn't play at all and I found out that any song without few sec of complete silence it's not going to play. I used Sound Forge to inser 1 sec silence before music begin and it works fine

Another thing that bodered me a little was title display format.
I really didn't like to see extensions in the title:

Artist-title.mp3

but there is an option in SETUP to show only titles (without artist name tho)

So for example file
Armand Van Helden - MyMyMy.mp3
will show on the display as
MyMyMy

There is a few more options like show GENRE etc.

You can switch also to detailed view with everything including album info but this is too much for me

While using navigation, MP3 volume goes lower (about 15%) during any navigation voice command. This is very smooth and nice ;)

With 8Gb SD out you could get 18Gb which is not bad :D

I had iPod setup before but this one IMHO is way better that any setup I saw.
This big knob+RETURN button combination make controll really simillar to iPod.

Accessing music / browsing through folders is very fast and easy thanks to that feature ;)

I just wonder if it will be possible in the futer to utilize this MP3 player interface and connect iPod to it. That would be nice for iPod users.

last time I checked....8+8= 16. :)

Also, I heard that the RNS-E would only support the 2GB version of the SD card ...which gives you a 4GB total.

thoughts?

16 you 're right  (still not bad ;) )

I just wonder if there is actually way to limit SD cards compatibility by size.
If this is achieved by software (and probably it is) then it's not going to be hard to make it work with 2GB + SDs.
