Hi,

In Motor Talk I found one post where someone are talking about RNS-E loses some oil. If you see the picture you'll see near of buttons Radio, CD/TV and Name some marks of oil.
Anyone knows something about that?

But more important, if you look the photo you'll find one DVD button!
Some one knows for what is that button?

That was a joke subject. There is no oil in the RNS-E and they assume that it's either some fat from the display mechanism or from his fingers ;-)

More interesting indeed is the fact that there is someone on Motortalk.de who took those A3 blind covers and engraved text and pictures. The blind covers are white with black soft paint. With the right machine you can engrave any text/picture and then put the blind cover onto a normal switch.

Pretty cool what they did there, here are some more pictures:

Well, I agree with you about the oil issue. problably is some finger fat, cause I think that RNS-E don't need oil for anything.

About the DVD button, I was reading the posts and now I understand the DVD button  , like you posted here there is a lot of option for those blind cover... just need some imagination :D
Maybe I'll do something funny with those blind covers for myself. I don't like to see just one of them completly empty.

Looks like the DVD button used a real "Blank face" switch because it has the green indicator lamp in the right place.

BTW, I've got one of those TPMS "Set" switches if anyone is looking for one. I've got the wiring to go with it if necessary as well. I'd let it go for exactly what it cost me because I have no use for it whatsoever.

Sorry about the links, I have now uploaded the pics here for future reference.

Do you have a part number for the blank switch? The numbers they were sharing were those (all A3 8P):

8P0 927 134 B = ESP
8P0 927 134 C = ESP Double DIN
8P0 927 133 B = ASR
8P0 927 133 C = ASR Double DIN
8P0 941 515 B = blank cover left
8P0 941 515 C = blank cover Double DIN left
8P0 927 121 uro = RDS
8P0 927 121 A = RDS Double DIN
8P0 941 516 B = blank cover right
8P0 941 516 C = blank cover Double DIN right
8P0 919 234 = Airbag
8P0 919 234 A = Airbag Double DIN
8P0 035 775 B = FUNK
8P0 035 775 C = FUNK Double DIN

Dirk,
These are the blank switches...

8P0 035 775 B = FUNK
8P0 035 775 C = FUNK Double DIN

I know because i just got in one of each. Apparently, they don't make a real "FUNK" switch for the A3.

Hi!
Since you are talking about part numbers, does anyone have, or can get, the part number for this controller?

Thank you :)
