The faceplate is the wrong size and shape. You need an A4 unit, not an A3 unit.wojtekh said:

Nobody has AFAIK successfully changed the faceplate on an RNS-E, so you may be better selling the A3 unit and buying an A4 one.
I would not start modifying the faceplate, sell it to someone with an A3 but no navi. Take the money and buy an 8E0 unit.
