Dear friends,

now I have ALL I NEED, beside one, ONE, O:N:E CABLE !!!

Now I got the keys to get my HU out of its place, so I also have been able to look at the CDC which is in the glovebox... (someone asked about this sometime ago... can't remember...).

With the VW PhatBox I got I also got the VW cable which is coded as: CAS-001-VW-15

This cable has the connector for the PhatBox on one side and the male connector for the CDC on the other side (it appears to me it's the same behind my actual Audi CDC... may this be correct ???).

I also got cable 4B0-051-735B which is supposed to link old-style CDC (the one placed in the trunk) to the old-style CDC (why the hell there is no an 8E0 version I don't know !!!).

Finally I also got a spare 8E0-051-592A cable which is the same I actually have factory installed to let me use the CDC with the RNS-E...

TARGET:
- to be able to use the original CD Changer AND the PhatBox !!!

PATH I THINK I'LL HAVE TO FOLLOW:
- I would use the 4B0-051-735B cable to move the signal from the trunk to the HU or CDC...

- I would have to change the connector on the trunk side of the above cable to fit the original PhatBox cable coded CAS-001-VW-15, so I'll use this second one nearby the PhatBox.

- I'll reach the console with the other end of the cable which has "flying" wires.

- At this point I'd like to use the spare 8E0-051-592A cable to create a "switch" to be able to manually change input source.

QUESTIONS:
- which wires need/should be interrupted when switching ?
- I thought of "power" which is on pin xxx ??? Hey, where is POWER ???

- From the label on my RNS-E I can read:

B:EXT CONTROL CONNECTOR
1 MOST Ring Break
2 CDC-NF GND
3 V-Signal
4 U14R-2
5 K-Line
6 CDC-Data OUT
7 BOSE Pin
8 CDC-NF L In
9 DVD-NF R In
10 U14 ST CDC
11 CDC-Data In
12 CDC-Data CLK

Really, beside pins 2, 7, 8 and 9, all the rest are ALIEN to me...

(thank you AUDIA4B6US, much better work than mine... )

Anyone which is wishing to place his own two cents on the table ???

I have the tools for giving back information on my setup if this is needed...

Thank you...
