Here's some good news, I have just tested an Audi BT module with a canbus adaptor and it works. So you wont get DIS, but the names/numbers appear in the RNS-E display.

i also have a question :

did u have to pull a ignition wire to the adaptor itself ?
because mine still wont turn on/off with ignition ( only illumination )

I did this on my test bench, not in a car, but I simply hooked up the canbus adaptor to my RNS-E and a 12 Volt source, then tapped the ignition wire to +12V and the RNS-E powered up.

Then I rigged a BT module into the same test bench setup and powered up the RNS-E again by tapping the ignition wire to +12V again, then searched for a Bluetooth handsfree device with my phone, sure enough it popped up and paired with it.

Set the RNS-E to 7 for phone module and then got full functionality of the phone kit.

I didn't test illumination, but I have no doubt it will work.

Yes - the only way that the adapter can generate the "ignition on" signal over the CAN bus (and hence make the RNS-E turn on/off with ignition) is if you connect the ignition signal to the adapter.
