So have I understood this right:

I have a D-unit mounted originally in my 2004 A4. I have bought an E-unit from a 2005 A4. Is this a direct fit? Out with the D-unit and in with the E-unit?

Got a bit confused with all the Symphony II stuff.

Mechanicaly it's a direct fit if you have the 8E0 035 192C. But you will also need adapters for the antennas (radio, diversity and GPS) and from the ISO plugs to the Quadlock connector. They look similar but they are not the same as the Symphony II to RNS-E adapters.
