:oops: I have posted a few questions thinking i had a RNS-E unit but thanks to some replies i now know that i have a RNS-D unit, question is should i still be able to have route display in instrument cluster? I have installed tmc unit and get all info from radio/cd in cluster but no nav info.

Ted as i am having trouble getting nav dis in cluster what do you think of this theory;

I've installed the Nav+ in my US Spec B6... If you can see the Radio/CD info in your cluster, then your wiring and your TMC-Box are perfect... It's just a Vag-Com issue... I faced the same problem and i'm not 100% how did i fix it!

But here is what i have from one of my old emails:

Hahah.. no worries. I actually think I ended up figuring it out. I tried a whole bunch of stuff and it started working. I think it was the channel 62 problem that was it, but I can't say for sure until I uncode it.

So a little more information, it doesn't have anything to do with the cluster code. Its adaption channel 62 (as in the notes.) I was chatting over Yahoo with Dan a few days ago and he said that the B6 instrument cluster is a little funky. Adaption Channel 62, will repeat values after 16. all the way to 63. basically, code 1, is the same as code 17 (16 + 1), is the same as 33 (16*2 + 1).

Adding 4 to that code will get you to the correct value of 5. I ended up coding my stereo to 21 (16 + 5). The easiest way to trouble shoot that is the code will take when you turn on and off your radio and the instrument cluster says "Audi Navigation Plus".
