Have you recoded the instument cluster to look for the nav info? Unless you do that you won't see it on the cluster.

I think it's very odd that you get Radio/CD information in the display...but not navigation instructions.

Have you set a destination area yet...so see if it comes up? You can also use the reset button on the stalk to toggle between: Trip computer, nav/map mode and off.

You might want to reverse the CAN H/L wires and see if that changes anything.

Keep us posted.

Ted as i am having trouble getting nav dis in cluster what do you think of this theory;

I've installed the Nav+ in my US Spec B6... If you can see the Radio/CD info in your cluster, then your wiring and your TMC-Box are perfect... It's just a Vag-Com issue... I faced the same problem and i'm not 100% how did i fix it!

But here is what i have from one of my old emails:

Hahah.. no worries. I actually think I ended up figuring it out. I tried a whole bunch of stuff and it started working. I think it was the channel 62 problem that was it, but I can't say for sure until I uncode it.

So a little more information, it doesn't have anything to do with the cluster code. Its adaption channel 62 (as in the notes.) I was chatting over Yahoo with Dan a few days ago and he said that the B6 instrument cluster is a little funky. Adaption Channel 62, will repeat values after 16. all the way to 63. basically, code 1, is the same as code 17 (16 + 1), is the same as 33 (16*2 + 1).

Adding 4 to that code will get you to the correct value of 5. I ended up coding my stereo to 21 (16 + 5). The easiest way to trouble shoot that is the code will take when you turn on and off your radio and the instrument cluster says "Audi Navigation Plus".

My 2004 S4 B6 had the value of 17 in adaption channel 62, so when I added the RNS-E I did the same and just added 4 to make 21 - and that value works for me too.

There's a bit of a clue at http://de.openobd.org which says that 16 has to be added to adaptaion channel 62 for "Kombigerät (nur codiert falls ein 2. Gerät verbaut wurde)" - which according to Babelfish means "Combination equipment (only codes if 2. Equipment was blocked)".

Doesn't make much sense to me - but coding 21 works.
