If it has the RNS-E then it should have navigation. Are you saying that you got an RNS-E that doesn't allow you to navigate? Maybe you can post some pictures of your RNS-E (and the car  ).

For the BT phone integration, browse the Multimedia forum or check the BT discussion at the bottom of the Forum Index.
I suspect you have OEM Lamborghini NAV

It is pretty much the same system like Audi so all add-ons should work without any problems. TEL bluetooth kit is connected to CANs of your NAV unit exactly like in Audis.
Where are you located? If you are near me (Allentown, PA), I'd be happy to help install the Bluetooth components for you... payment? A ride in the Lambo ;-)
yes, it looks just like that picture. but, i do not have nav or bluetooth.

i live in atlanta. anyone from atlanta that can help me out?

what parts will i need? how hard is the install? do you think an audi dealer may do it?

thanks.

btw...here's a link to my car from the dealer's website

also, the unit is already in the car. am i correct in saying that all i need is the gps antenna and a disk to get nav going in my car?
It should have the antenna already, and should be all ready to go. Now, the Bluetooth should just be a matter of installing the necessary modules.
I should have Bluetooth TEL interfaces this week so I will let you know.
If your unit was factory installed, your navigation is ready to use. You will need US maps to use it. Since you bought your Gallardo new you probably have factory US unit (second button from the left says CD / SD).

I have 2006 US maps as well. Let me know if you are interested and I can build complete package for you.

To install this package you can contact any good car audio shop or preferably your dealer. Installation is very simple and I will provide instructions how to do it.

I know good Lamborghini shop but it is located about 650 miles from Atlanta.
What happens when you press the NAV button? What is the version shown when you press the CAR button and select version?
thanks for all your input so far...

when i press "nav" i get the following:
"please insert the navigation dvd"

when i press "car" and "version" i get the following:
SW: 0110
HW H70
Map: (nothing)

when i press "tel" i get the following:
"telephone not installed"

any more input? thanks again.

To enable navigation all you need is to call Navteq and order the 2006 US DVD (ask them for the 2006 A3/A4 DVD). Maybe one of the members here lets you try his navi DVD before you order one but I'm pretty sure all you are missing is the DVD.

To enable the phone functionality you will need to get the phone interface and other components. Check the BT discussion for more details.
i love the gallardo.... i would like one in lime green or orange though =D

Good on ya'!
not surprisingly the speedo/tach needles; odometer; clock; and DIS are the same as in our audis..

I am only 2 hours from atlanta and would be glad to help you out anytime with the BT tel module install. I can also help you out obtaining a navigation DVD. Just send me an email if you need some assistance.

not to mention the steering wheel and climate control unit (a ...la.... B7 RS4). The cluster looks very similar to a C6 A6 and D3 A8 (or Q7 for that matter). The drivers' side airbag is pulled from a C6 or D3 too..

Then...you look to the engine. D3 S8 and gallardo share the same engine (developed by Audi).

I wonder if I could source those seats from the Gallardo for my C5 A6. Now that would be a trip!!

:)
sorry for bumping this older thread

anyway im getting a 2006 gallardo has the backup cam and all but no nav

in the tri state area anyone can modify it so i can have nav on this?

let me know please
Your dealership can get a special CD from italy to activate the NAV functions. Expect to pay $$$$$ for this service.
hi guys,

a friend of my in Sweden has the Gallardo. His OEM Gallardo RNS-E gives the follwing info:

thanks for all your input so far...

when i press "nav" i get the following: "please insert the navigation dvd"

when i press "car" and "version" i get the following:
SW: 0110
HW H72
Map: (nothing)

I think his unit is in the US mode (although he is driving in the EU), am I right? Strange thing (or not): RADIO only gives AM/FM , and not SAT.

My questions:

1. do you guys agree that his unit is in the US mode?
2. while it gives "please insert the navigation dvd", will the NAV function be enabled on this unit?
3. if so: I want to try to convert this unit to EU SW, so he can navigate with this unit in the EU. Should converting work the same way as on the Audi RNS-E units?

Let him go into Engineering Mode and write down the version numbers, that will allow to tell what mode the unit is in. Does he have a Lambo DVD or is he planning on using the Audi DVD?
