SO, I bought some skis this weekend, put them through the ski hole, didn't secure them, slammed on the brakes and the %&$(*&%#$%'ing skis cracked the nav LCD!

Is there any way I can replace just the NAV LCD without having to replace the entire unit?

Sometimes you can find them on ebay but other than that there is no official source.

Search this forum, Google and the German Ebay site for "Opel CID". The TFT screen used by Opel/Astra is almost identical to the one in the RNS-E and is fully interchangeable. I have done it (tried polishing RNS-E screen with a dremel ...). It's quite easy. You have to take the TFT display out of the Opel Housing, and care needs to be taken with the ribbon cable connector in the RNS-E. I obtained mine via Haaggie - one of the trusted brokers on this site. It works very well, better I think than the original did. The costs have been going up, but it's cheaper than a replacement RNS-E.
