Hi all
First ever post so i hope it's in the right place.
I own an a6 sline 2.0 tdi seven speed automatic 2006 plate
The problem i have is that when i open the doors the red light in the door does not come on i have no facility in the mmi to switch these lights on or off. Should these lights come on when the doors are opened or is it an optional extra. I have only had the car for a week and have never noticed the lights ever being on. My prvious car was an a6 se 1.9 tdi on a 2002 plate these lights worked on that car.

I have the same type car as you and there are no lights in the red one as standard, I had to do this myself to get this lights

Thanks for your reply audi80. So the lights that are already on the car should not work without modification. Was this an easy job to do?

I only connected it together with the door entry light

the lights are coded, i thing because in the front door i have them,
shell it be the same pin on rear doors like in front ?

i will try to take out the door cover and have look !

I think you need to have the plug in.........
