I'm finally ordering my adapters for RNS-E (US) into a 2005 B6 S4 with Bose.
1) Does the following adapter accomodate hook-up for phone and cd changer as well?
http://shop.kufatec.de/product_info.php/products_id/164
I'm also going to be ordering the antenna adapter and GPS antenna from them.

2) I've never ordered on-line from over-seas before. I'm choosing their shipping method German Post (does anyone know how long is that supposed to take, I'm in CA), then the payment method I'm choosing is Cash on Delivery (is this recommended, I don't want to send a check or money order since that will just take more time).

Thanks in advance for any help.

When you place the order, mention that you want the adapter with support for Bose, the CD-Changer and phone kit. This way you get all the required wires even though you may not have a cd-changer or phone kit right now. Also specify that you are upgrading from a Symphony II in a B6 S4, this should get you the correct adapter.

While it's not mentioned on their web page, they do accept PayPal (at least they did when I placed my order for the same set. I simply emailed them at [email protected] and got my first answer after three days. Deutsche Post / DHL is the most unreliable way to get your order shipped and it takes between 5 days and two month (or never) to arrive. They recently posted that they can now ship with Fedex which should get you your order in 2 days plus whatever it takes to get through customs. I would ask for all shipping options when you email them asking for a quote. if the numbers haven't changed, Deutsche Post/DHL was about 20 Euro and Fedex should be about 40 Euro.

While it's sometimes hard to communicate with them in English, the quality they deliver is pretty good. If you need help to translate their answer, let me know.

Thanks once again for your help. One other question: I'm going ahead and getting my GPS antenna from them, but I've seen two different ones on this forum.

This one,
http://shop.kufatec.de/product_info.php/products_id/179

and this one (the fakra),
http://shop.kufatec.de/product_info.php/cPath/47_52/products_id/138

Any idea which I should order?
(BTW, just picked up my US unit that just came in from my dealer, now I know how you felt when you had yours but couldn't do anything with it until you had some adapters)

Yeah, that feeling really sucks. Especially after I got the map DVD working.

You will need the Fakra GPS antenna. The SMB plug is for the older Nav+ (RNS-D) and while I have seen people getting it into the Fakra connector on the RNS-E, the SMB plug doesn't lock and may break the connector. If you are ordering anway, get the right connector which is Fakra.
