CDC / CD Changer wires are in the red 20 pin connector (right part in the picture)
Phone / handsfree wires are in the black, 10 pin connector at the bottom (left part in the picture)
The top 8 pin connector is for power/Bose/K-line and the adapter in the picture does not have the 8 pin speaker connector.

There are three kinds of sound systems: passive, active and Bose. Active and Bose have amplifiers for all speakers and don't use the speaker out on the HU. As far as I know are all 2002+ Symphony II systems A4 active or Bose. You should verify if your current Symphony connector has the speaker pins connected or not to determine which adapter you need.

If you have Symphony II without bose the HU drives the back speakers as well so if you install and RNS-E unit without Bose then you have to recode the RNS-E unit accordingly so that the RNS-E unit will use the pre-amp outputs to drive the back speakers. If you code it as a system with Bose it will not drive the back speakers. So a lot has to do with coding the unit as well.

That's what you need. I have the same setup and it works like a dream. If you are really into OEM stuff you could skip the GPS antenna and just get the extension cable for the sharkfin antenna (if you don't have OnStar but a sharkfin). But IMHO installing the GPS behind the instrument cluster is less work and works just fine.
