Pre- NAV + system for MY2000 A6

Is the original Audi nav system for the 2000 4.2 A-6 worth any consideration as a retrofit? I find maps and diagrams in current systems located in mid dash areas difficult for my eyes to quickly accomodate. I think that I might prefer voice guidance plus the directional data between the tach and speedo directly in front of me. Any thoughts?

The US-based Nav (no 5" map screen) might be a bit difficult to install; I've yet to hear of anyone to attempt to make it work.

Most just add the Nav+ (see all my posts, pix etc in this forum for details) because it's fairly plug/play....and can give you nav info in the dash cluster.

Happy reading!
