Ok, so I've done just about everything there is to do with my RNS-E now. I've added DVD and TV with the help of a Dietz 1417 and Blaupunkt ME3, installed the OEM XM receiver in tandem with the CDC (both function), and retrofitted the Bluetooth Telephone system. Now with the new US software installed, everything works 100%. Its increadible, but...
Now I'm afraid I don't have anything else to do with it
Its been so fun modding and tinkering with it, and now there aren't really any more add ons or software tweaks needed (minus the pesky B5 clock issue and disclaimer screen).
So, I got to thinking, "how about the OEM tire pressure monitor"? Is it possible to retrofit this? Has anyone tried? Would be kinda cool to actually have a function under the "Car" menu. I know the XM receiver I bought specifically said "XM with RNS-E and Tire Pressure Monitor", so is the pressure info routed through that unit somehow?
Just an idea. Let me know what you guys/girls think. Its gonna be a long, cold winter... I could use a project
