Ok, so I've done just about everything there is to do with my RNS-E now. I've added DVD and TV with the help of a Dietz 1417 and Blaupunkt ME3, installed the OEM XM receiver in tandem with the CDC (both function), and retrofitted the Bluetooth Telephone system. Now with the new US software installed, everything works 100%. Its increadible, but...

Now I'm afraid I don't have anything else to do with it :( Its been so fun modding and tinkering with it, and now there aren't really any more add ons or software tweaks needed (minus the pesky B5 clock issue and disclaimer screen).

So, I got to thinking, "how about the OEM tire pressure monitor"? Is it possible to retrofit this? Has anyone tried? Would be kinda cool to actually have a function under the "Car" menu. I know the XM receiver I bought specifically said "XM with RNS-E and Tire Pressure Monitor", so is the pressure info routed through that unit somehow?

Just an idea. Let me know what you guys/girls think. Its gonna be a long, cold winter... I could use a project

The A4 TPMS does not use the RNS-E, just the DIS. And if you run flat you only see a flat tire, not the nice status screen we know from the A6/A8. Maybe with a future software update but not right now. Search TPMS here and you will find a few posts from the early days.

Well I do have an A6 RNS-E unit (not an A4), so I am assuming this is a possibility then, correct?

Same thing, there wasn't even a TPMS for the A6 C5. But I guess there wasn't an RNS-E for the B5 either. Looking forward to see your success story...
