My voice control software keeps responding with the answer "The phonebook is empty" But I got lot's of names and number is my phonebook if I dial with the clickwheel. Am I missing something?

I Use a K700i and a 650 Treo both have the same problem.

Do you have your phonebook stored on SIM card or internal phone memory?
On Both phone I have a phone book (altough different) on the sim and in the phones memory.

When using the Treo: the sim phonebook is shown on the RNS screen
When using the K700 the Phone phone book is shown
I can Dial without problem from the RNS screen with the buttons

In both cases the voice control says The phone book is empty

It has to be understod the "vocal" phonebook is completely different from the SIM and/or Phone phonebook...

The VOCAL one can store vocal name (and numbers) recorded by the means of your voice.

Try saying HELP in your language (or the language the module is coded) and you'll get the list of the available commands on the RNS-E screen.

That's all is available...

I've never reached the storage limit of the vocal phonebook, mainly because it's a "recognition" engine which approaches more mistakes the more names you store inside...

I just stored there the 20 names I call most, so it's easier and mainly FASTER to dial them...

Hope this helps...

Does anyone know the commands when entering a name and number in the phonebook.

The digits are obvious, but are there commands to correct digits, or to end/save your entry?

??? Can't you READ ???

What's difficult on saying "HELP" (or whatever in your language) ???

Just to be sure, please, do not pronounce >>> " <<<

You will get the list of accepted commands and, if correctly coded and updated, the RNS-E screen will display the same help sentences.

It was written above, anyway...

Hmm, thanks for the kind response, I've tried "help" in my language (English) many times but it just aborts the entry starts over again.
