Hi all,

Was referred to this forum for a possible answer to my query.

I am picking up my 2005 A3 2.0 TDi next Tueday, and one of the extras is the Audi telephone preparation kit. It has the base for the phone pre-installed on the dash.

I need to order the phone adapter relevant to my particular phone make & model which is the O2 XDA II (the first model without the slide open keyboard).

Does anyone know if Audi make an adapter for this (I have asked them, but they have not got back to me yet).

I also use Navman & Navigator software on my PDA. With my Renault Laguna I had to run an external magnetic antenna from the bluetooth satellite receiver because the front windshield reflected the satellite signal completely.

Can anyone tell me if this will be the case with the A3?

I am in Melbourne, Australia so maybe windshields are different down here (I don't know), plus this is my first Audi \/

WRT the adapter for the O2 XDA II - I do remember seeing a list of the supported phones here - try following the OE BT thread.

AFAIK Audis don't have the metalic coating on the windscreen that stopped your Navman working on the Renault - my Navman certainly works in my S4 (I'm in the UK).

Followed a few threads, but could not get a definative answer on my phone - will keep on researching..

WRT Navman, I will just give it a try I reckon this week after I pick up the car..
