i've been after one of these for a while now... thought i had bought one on eBay sometimes last year but for whatever reasons that thing never arrived... which might have been a blessing, since after doing some more research and talking to people who were trying to get second clusters working, it was turning out to be almost impossible...

so i went to source, and thanks to Greg [400HPA4 on AudiZine.com], i manged to get a brand new one...

the other nice thing is that my adviser at the stealership decided to be kind and "warrantied" the swapping of the clusters in and out...

here's a couple of pics of the cluster in "action"...

I'm about to do the same thing but I heard that cluster data need to be under certain milege. Need to verify that at my dealership 8)

only for the new one... iirc the mileage of a used cluster can only be modified if it's still under either 50kms or 100kms, can't remember which one... but that only applies to used cluster, i.e. if you buy a brand new one them it doesn't matter how many miles you've got currently on yours...

does that make sense?...

can't really say... except that Greg got it for a pretty decent price and i didn't have to pay a core charge either...

unfortunately that was just a one off, and his dealership won't be doing that again...
