I installed my RNS-E last weekend. There no longer seems to be any bass in the audio. I am using the PNP harness sold by Proxus and my Symphony II/allroad has the Bose system in it.

Is there a wire I didn't connect, or a VAG setting I may have missed? Sorry that I don't know what more information to give to help in troubleshooting. TIA!

Is your RNS-E coded for Bose?

Your coding should be xx9xxx, and adaptation channel 8 should be set to 255.

Coding

Well, it's resolved. It was a coding issue. This was in concert with my other post yesterday titled "Help! VAG-COM 512-4 won't talk to RNS-E." Come to find out, I had two problems. One was that my VAG-COM laptop is apparently not fast enough to work with Ross-Tech's HEX-CAN USB cable. The second is that I was trying to code my TEL for Temic (2) and apparently it must be coded for US (6).

So, I installed VAG-COMM on one of the 3 PC laptops we have at work and was able to code the RNS-E properly. Whew.
