My 2006 Q7 3.0TDI was left in garage from Christmas till yesterday. Battery was almost flat, but I was able to start engine.

What I have noticed, that in screen Audi starting logo has appeared for a few moments ant went black. That repeated for several times. What I figured out later, that radio, telephone, navigation, screen - whole MMI is not working.

I thought that this is somehow related to the discharged battery. I have charger it last night. But problem persist. Therefore I have performed VAG-COM scan. I wasn't happy with the result...

Full scan log is attached as a file.

I have searched the Internet for "07-Control Head -- Status: Cannot be reached 1100", and found several almost identical issues. Two of them, was reported, that MMI control head was dead and was replaced :(

I have called local Audi dealer and booked service time... 2012 Jan 02th, 7.00AM... They have told me, that components protection might be activated due to low voltage, but I doubt - as far as I remember, scan log should say something like "component protection active".

Is there anything I can try to do by myself until service? Addition scan of some concrete module, fuses(???) check?

Regards,

eMeR

I'm no expert but have you checked all your optical connections?
You're getting an "open circuit" error so every device relying on the optical loop will report a fault.

Try re-seating all your optical connections as a first step.

But any failed component will aslo show up as open circuit depending on the fault. So the best thing to do is isolate each part until you find the fault.

Common issues on Q7 MMI are the amp (right side of boot/trunk) and the phone ECU (under passenger seat for LHD )

OK. A "little" bit late, but... The problem was (as Markpaq stated) with the optical bus itself. Somehow it was loosened at the Dension module and sometimes was loosing connection.
