I don't know the year. I have just found this entry on ebay.de. The description says that it has 49.900 km and that it is from a S4 (US version).S4atlast! said:

IIRC the X just means it's a refurbished replacement, the one without the X is the new part...David said:Is the part number LX? I couldn't find an L. I assume it's the 170mph.

The guys over at audi4ever.at are working on this too. It's in German but if there is something new I will post it here.David said:I guess the original question of this post still stands. Has anyone tried switching the colour display for the standard. If the clusters can be pulled apart could the display itself be swapped?
I did something similar to this on my previous Dodge Durango. I had to have a certified agent come and do the diagnostics and change the odometer. It was a huge ordeal and the cost was way beyond what I anticipated. This however was Dodge's doings so Audi might do things differently. Apparently not all techs are able to perform this task and must have a license. Just thought I would share my experieinces.AudiA4B6US said:The numbers are between 600 and 800 $US plus 1 hour at the dealer to get it swapped and programmed. I got this part number for a 3.0 B6: 8E0 920 981 DV, but it would be better to get it from the dealer who is going to install it. he can check based on your VIN what exactly you need.
