The new 2007 USA user manual has these instructions for an ipod kit. Interesting that it shows a glovebox adapter similar to the new AMI for MMI systems.

The factory installed Audi iPod adapter for the A3/A4/TT comes with a glovebox cable and holder/tray. Functionality hasn't changed though compared to the Audi iPod retrofit kit that came with a cable only.

True, the fuunctions have not changed, but this is the first time I have seen the usage instructions actually documented by Audi.
